Frank McCourt.

i am so sad to discover that the beloved frank mccourt passed away yesterday. he has always been one of my favorite writers, and i was fortunate to hear him read at a bookstore in denver three years ago. it was one of the best readings i've ever attended-- he had all of us laughing the whole evening. the New York Times has devoted a space on their ArtsBeat blog for folks to share memories of Frank. check it out here.
