do you use organic hair products? for the past couple of months, i've been using nature's gate shampoo and conditioner, and when i was home in michigan this past weekend, i used avalon awapuhi shampoo that my mom had and i loved how it made my hair feel. avalon uses wild ginger and mango as part of their ingredients for this particular line. i really love using quality, healthy products when it comes to beauty care. do any of you have other good organic hair product recommendations?

i still haven't said a word about the renegade craft fair that took place last weekend. perhaps because it was so great--i'm still overwhelmed by how many wonderful things i saw!

so, without further adieu (and a few days late at that) here is this week's eco-friendly edition from kimberly scola: reusable sandwich wrappers. not only are they adorable, but they can also be used as a placemat. i've tried in the past to re-use ziploc bags (or just not use them at all), but sometimes that's really, really tough. she sews durable oil-cloth like material together, and uses vintage buttons for the hook and eye closures. if i had children, they'd totally rock these in their lunch boxes. in the meantime, i think i'll have to rock them as an adult. xo.

check out these cool t's from loftymorning's on etsy. each of the screen prints above are made on t's of 100% pure cotton. i love the quote from kennedy on the last image: "nothing compares to the simple pleasure of a bike ride." so true, don't you think?

check out these mini-recycled notebooks from jellygnite on etsy. in order to put them together, she uses cardboard from cereal boxes, re-purposed notebook paper, and decorates the outside with vintage paper or from random sources such as pages from a 1960's British Women's magazine. a clever way to re-use paper goods, don't you think?

my friends often make fun of me and my love for market/tote bags.  i frequently use them instead of carrying a purse.  these bags from strandredesign are made from 100% recycled fabric and vintage textiles. i'm smitten.
