i'm in michigan this weekend for my cousin's wedding. i'm in the bridal party, and she allowed us to pick our favorite j.crew dress in kelly green. smart girl. since i'm from michigan, too, i'll probably have my wedding here as well. detroit-based photographer, jessica johnston, is one of my faves. i love the intimacy of the photo above. the moment seems so genuine between the bride and her mother, and completely unposed. i also love how we get the mother's whole face, and with the bride the focus is put on her smile and gaze on the small note that she's reading.
